Simone Biles
Simone Biles (born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A.) American Gymnast is considered to be one of the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became one of the U.S.'s first female gymnast to win 4 gold medals. Biles also took home the title of world champion for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles, along with her twins Adria as well as her brother Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents from Houston. Simone became interested in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl when she took a field trip for day care to Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for eleven years under the direction of her trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles received a silver medal in vault, and also a medal in floor gymnastics at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. In 2011, she began competing in elite levels of gymnastics competition. A year later, Biles dominated the sport. Biles was notable for her consistency in performance, vivacious persona, and the difficulty she encountered in the four events she competed in such as vault, bars with uneven surfaces, and the balance beam.
